Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage plans provide Medicare benefits through a private plan. Networks, cost sharing, drug coverage and extra benefits vary by plan and county.
Original Medicare plus a Supplement
A Medicare Supplement policy works with Original Medicare to help with certain out-of-pocket costs. Prescription drug coverage is generally considered separately.
Doctors and travel
Think about the doctors and hospitals you use and how often you travel. Provider access works differently depending on the coverage approach and specific plan.
Look beyond the monthly premium
Compare the total picture: premiums, deductibles, copays or coinsurance, maximum out-of-pocket exposure where applicable, prescriptions and provider access.
